Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Projects Superintendent to manage the safe and efficient execution of the Capital Investment Portfolio and other Continuous Improvement Projects from start to finish. To support and assist with Legal compliance relating to the OHS Act for the MFC Works.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess risk exposures (business financial legal etc.)
- Apply mitigation and control measures for residual risk
- Manage SHEQ compliance through the Toolbox
- Achieve HDSA/Female targets
- Manage performance against targets and competencies
- Link IDP's to performance results and implement
- Conduct career discussions with identified talent (quarterly)
- Ensure discipline (absenteeism lateness overtime misconduct)
- Coach and counsel people for improved performance
- Ensure customer satisfaction through Service Level Agreement reviews
- Conduct Post Implementation Reviews
- Conduct internal and external audits (engineering and maintenance)
- Interpret audit findings make recommendations and close action plans
- Measure effectiveness of Risk Control efforts
- Ensure Legal compliance for MFC Works
- Guide Maintenance Engineering teams on best practices challenges and improvements
- Compile capital applications
- Optimize plant capacity and implement value engineering projects
- Manage Capital Review meeting
- Optimize interplant connection of engineering activities
- Carry engineering legal appointment
- Evaluate manage and optimize 35 year capital projects plan
- Maximize project efficiency and profitability
- Determine project specifications and acquire materials
- Develop scope and parameters for design and implementation
- Identify project responsibilities and delegate phases
- Develop and control full projectplan lifecycle
- Manage Section costs
- Conduct feasibility studies
- Manage SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the IMS
- Utilize the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate investigate and report SHEQ status
- Manage labour stability by minimizing labour turnover
- Labour complement in line with budget
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- 6 years’ relevant experience preferably 2 years’ managerial experience in a large manufacturing environment
- Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Government Certificate of Competency (Factories)
- Advanced Project Management
- Maintenance Management (preferential)
- MS Office with superior MS Excel skills
- IMS EBMS SAP MES systems
