Tasks

As a project manager your role involves overseeing the decarbonization and greening of steel production with an emphasis on transitioning from traditional blast furnaces to electric arc furnaces. You will be part of a team overseeing these major changes within the organization.

Responsible for project management of all project delivery tasks in a specific subarea of the project. Tasks will cover areas such as:

• New Electrical Supply HVMVLV
• Cooling circuits
• Slag Storage and Handling
• Site preparations
• Relevant technical experience in these domains is required

Requirements

The main selection criteria and additional profile scope are as follows and what were looking for:

• Master/Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent professional technical education
• Between 5 to 15 years experience as a Project Manager in a similar role (Midcareer to senior level)
• Experience in working with EPCM or EPC companies
• Project Management with professional certification such as PMI Prince2 II ii 2 MSP CAPM Sigma
• Effective communicator with the ability to proactively deal with senior executives and senior stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Proven people management skills.
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is required.
• Regular European travel 25%50% depending on the project phase (from Northern Belgium office base)
• Project language is English
• Mining Metals and Mills processing/production sector knowledge
