Project Manager Overhead Power Distribution

JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER OVERHEAD POWER DISTRIBUTION

LOCATION: NAIROBI

General Description

The Project Manager Overhead Power Distribution is responsible for the planning overseeing execution and leading to completion of overhead power distribution projects. This includes working with customers to define project requirements developing project plans managing project budgets and schedules and coordinating with vendors and other stakeholders. The Project Manager must have a strong understanding of overhead power distribution technologies and be able to effectively manage complex projects. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

Project Management and Planning: Define project scope objectives and requirements involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.

Resource Management: Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.

Risk Management: Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Identify potential risks and issues creating contingency plans and tracking the resolution of issues.

Quality Assurance: Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Maintain high standards of quality assurance including proofing all project documentation.

Communications: Manage communications with stakeholders the team and management. Report and escalate issues to management as needed.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements

Key Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering

A minimum of three (3) years experience in electrical power systems & distribution line projects

Over 3 years experience in project management

Power distribution line design experience

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Using project management tools such as Zoho and MS projects

Strong working knowledge of MS Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
