The Radio Equipment Directive (RED: Radio Equipment Directive) in Europe has been in effect since June 13, 2016. T V Rheinland is an authorized body (Notified Body) for the RE Directive and issues test reports and certificates (EU-type examination certificate).
T V Rheinland Japan's EMC laboratory is ISO/IEC 17025 certified and can self-declare CE marking based on its test reports. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for executing projects related to overseas wireless certification, using both Japanese and English language communication. We are looking for someone with good English language and communication skills.
Tasks
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following
- Overseas wireless certification of wireless/IoT communication devices (mainly in North America and Europe)
- Customer relations, certification test planning, test report preparation and certification application
- Costing and project scheduling
- Liaison with domestic and international sales teams and laboratories
Requirements
- Design of wireless communication equipment at electrical equipment/industrial equipment manufacturers or TIC (testing, inspection, and certification) companies Experience in development/testing/certification, experience in certification work
- Experience with wireless testing and measuring equipment (spectrum analyzers)
- Must have experience with EMC testing
- Experience in providing technical support to customers
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in telecommunications engineering or electrical/electronic engineering
- Business level English language skills (reading and writing required: reading English standards, responding to e-mails, writing documents for internal and external use)
- Business-level Japanese language skills
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with ISO/IEC17025 and ISO/IEC17065
- Knowledge of radio wave law certification in various countries.
