Project Engineer - Industrial Hydraulics

• Provide technical assistance to sales staff with the preparation of hydraulic designs and quotations.
  
• Receive orders for hydraulic systems and assemblies.
  
• Complete detail design and equipment selection and strive to maintain the budgeted costs.
  
• Ensure that all target dates are achieved with respect to control of drawings documents etc. Ensure that orders placed at subsuppliers contain detailed comprehensive instructions.
  
• Issue instructions to the drawing office to complete circuit diagrams general arrangement and fabrication drawings.
  
• Liaise with the customer and the workshop to ensure professionally built product is delivered on time and to the customers satisfaction.
  
• Ensure that the item or equipment leaves the workshop in a fully tented condition and that it complies with the required specification.
  
• Update all drawings and files to ensure that a complete record is retained by the Technical Resources department.
  
• Design develop factory test and commission mechanical and mechatronic systems.
  
• Assist the Project Coordinator with compiling customer manuals.
  
• Ensure that all amounts due for projects plus any extras are invoiced.
  
• Attend weekly project meetings and update the Project Manager on all aspects of jobs for which he is responsible.
  
• If required ensure that the commissioning is carried out according to industry and company standards.
  
• Always adhere and follow relevant ISO procedures.
  
• Answering telephonic enquiries for hydraulic equipment and spares and to crossreference competitors products
  

Requirements

• N. Dip B.Eng. or BSc. in mechatronic/mechanical engineering.
  
• Code 8 driver s license.
  
• 2 years practical experience in the electrical/hydraulic field.
  
• Programming experiences an advantage (Python C Ladder Logic).
