Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in facilitating the transition from legacy systems to modern scalable IT solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of IT knowledge project coordination skills and a keen understanding of legacy systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans schedules and milestones as well as coordinate meetings set agendas and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project objectives and timelines.
2. Team Coordination and Support: Act as a liaison between project managers technical teams and other departments and facilitate the flow of information between team members on the project.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders including other agency members vendors and external partners. Organize and attend stakeholder meetings providing updates and gathering feedback.
4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports and to project status reports to regular updates for senior management.
5. Resource Management: Assist in resource allocation and scheduling ensuring that resources are available and utilized efficiently. Monitor project budgets and help manage expenditures. Identify potential risks and issues related to the project suggesting mitigation strategies. Track and manage issues as they arise keeping the project on track.
Education:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Business or other related discipline. Masters degree or project management certification is preferred.
General Experience:
At least five (5) years of experience in project management.
Specialized Experience:
1. At least five (5) years of experience supervising or overseeing ITrelated projects.
2. Experience with agile tools such as Jira or similar applications.
3. Experience in work planning monitoring and reporting.
4. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrates capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders and all levels.
6. Understanding of legacy systems and modern IT solutions.
Preferred Experience:
1. Experience in managing IT modernization projects.
2. Familiarity with change management processes.
3. Basic technical knowledge of programming languages and databases.
