Job Title: Production Assistant (New Blood Awards)

Reports to: Foundation Manager

Role: Full time Fixedterm contract: March April 2024 (4.5 week contract).

Deadline: February 5th (Candidates are advised to submit their applications early)

Interviews: Throughout February

Location: Options to be fully remote or hybrid London E1 Office working to be discussed and agreed at interview

Salary: 23000 per annum

Hours: Monday Friday (9:30am5:30pm). Flexible hours considered with core hours 10am3pm. (35 hours per week)

Flexibility will be required when working to deadlines.

Purpose of the job

Every year D&ADs New Blood Awards receive thousands of entries from students and emerging creatives from all over the world. This role is to assist in all aspects of the awards; from helping entrants submit their work through to reviewing and cataloguing the entries.

Were looking for an ambitious Production Assistant to join our Awards team itll be your job to help support the administration and delivery of the New Blood Awards and make sure each piece of work submitted by our entrants is of the right standard and requirements to be judged.

Key responsibilities

Customer Enquiries

  • Deal confidently and efficiently with incoming and out coming entry queries
  • Provide a high level of customer service to entrants
  • Use the D&AD query database to log and resolve all queries
  • Ability to work with entrants find out their needs and objectives and offer support on entry
  • When required make outbound calls to contact tutors and entrants with outstanding entries.

Cataloguing

  • Use the D&AD logging system to record and check entry data
  • Process and file digital entries
  • Quality check moving image stills and web/app entries
  • Edit awards entry media where necessary
  • Identify and resolve problems with entries contacting the entrant where necessary
  • Liaise with management to resolve complex problem
  • If necessary support other Production Assistants across the Professional Awards during busy periods.

Online Judging

  • Ensure all the entries are processed to the right standard in time for online judging
  • Quality control; ensure work is accurately prepared and displayed for judging

Key experience and skills

  • Computer literate
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Working Knowledge of Adobe CC (desirable but not essential)
  • A second language (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of the design and advertising industry (desirable but not essential).
