Overview
The Procurement/Logistics Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and costeffective procurement and logistics operations of the organization. They are responsible for managing the purchase of goods and services overseeing inventory levels and coordinating the transportation and distribution of products.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of opening TT/LC banking process (Local India & Third country)
- Custom tariff knowledge (HSN & Duty calculation)
- Maintain good relationships with vendors/subcontractor and supplier (India & Nepal)
- Attend vendor meetings
- Shipment booking knowledge (Road Sea & Air)
- Responsible for tracking receiving and stocking all items ordered
- Review supplier proposals and invoices.
- Manage claims and losses.
- Coordinate with staff operations personnel and outside agencies to ensure materials and services are available when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement logistics
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficiency in inventory management and control
