Main Purpose of Job
To set up and operate various machines for production of product per Customer specifications and work instructions.
Relationships
a) Responsible to: Production Manager / Shift Manager
b) Responsible for: Quality accurate and efficient operation of machinery in line with customer
requirements and the associated work instructions
c) Liaison with: All RotoMetrics employees / departments
Main Tasks of Job
Deliver high quality performance to contribute to exceptional service standards and requirements by:
Efficiently setting up and operating machines for production runs of products ensuring machine & part are parallel & running concentric.
Monitoring machine during production run and adjusting as necessary.
Using precision measuring instruments and hand tools to verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.
Proof reading paperwork and checking roll drawing specifications.
Prioritising work according to Lead s instructions.
Accurately reading and completing paperwork and routing to next process.
Perform the role in accordance with work instructions work order specifications and quality requirements.
Promptly referring issues to Supervisor as and when required.
Handling metal safely/carefully.
Supporting and guiding fellow colleagues as and when required.
Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and company policy at all times.
Wearing the correct PPE while in work areas of the shop.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area high standards of good housekeeping.
Operating in the areas only if trained and signed competent to do so.
Adhering to safe operating procedures & work instructions for machines.
