Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

MUST BE A US CITIZEN (ITAR REQUIREMENT). Support a Fortune 500 AeroDefense Company as a Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer.

In this position you will perform circuit board layouts using CAD software. The primary responsibilities of this position will include but not limited to:

• Interpreting schematic diagrams and utilizing preliminary sketches diagrams and other engineering information to generate PCB designs for RF Digital Power and Mixed Signal disciplines.
• Executing the detail design for printed circuit boards and completion of documentation to IPC and department standards using PCB design CAD tool
• Working with the Producibility Engineer to facilitate design reviews as they relate to PCB layout and design for manufacturability.

Required Skills:

• 5 years’ experience designing the layout of printed circuit boards using Siemens (Mentor) Xpedition suite of tools.
• Must be familiar with applicable industry (IPC) design and end product performance standards for circuit card assemblies and printed wiring boards including IPC6012 IPC2221 JSTD001 IPC7351
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge and document descriptions of technical solutions for CCA and PCB technology products.

Desired Skills:

• In addition to Xpedition experience familiarity with design tools for printed circuit board and circuit card assembly technologies (EDM Library Blueprint VALOR NPI etc.)
• Prior experience designing and/or supporting aerospace/defense related products.
• Expertise in component selection for military and aerospace environments
• IPC CID or CID certification
