Job Summary:
Client is seeking a talented Principal Systems Security Engineer (SSE) to join the Embedded Secure Systems Engineering (ESSE) Department. This position is in a technical growth area and we need individuals who can apply their technical knowledge and experience to system security engineering and program protection concerns within the key areas of cybersecurity antitamper software assurance supply chain exploitation and threat and design vulnerability analysis.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The SSE will participate in the development of embedded security solutions and will be responsible for leading and executing the security efforts for secure system products
Activities will consist of security subsystem specifications security subsystem architecture interface descriptions Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments and vulnerability assessments
The SSE must be able to work independently and as a member of a team in coordination with engineers in development integration test and modeling
The SSE will exhibit a high degree of creativity and ingenuity and will be responsible for developing advanced systems /security integrity and information assurance leveraging AntiTamper guidelines and concepts
The SSE must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers and will be required to brief senior company and customer leadership teams
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree 12 years of relevant experience is required
An active and transferable DoD Secret Security clearance is required on Day 1 of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience designing implementing testing and fielding realtime Embedded security oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies methodologies policies and guidelines
Experience with design/development/implementation in at least one of the following areas: AntiTamper (HW SW Systems) Cybersecurity Software DevSecOPs
Experience with toplevel system requirements and flowed down requirements and implementation details to subsystems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with direct interfaces with customer representatives and external suppliers
Experience with commercialofftheshelf security technologies and trusted products
Experience with System Integrity
Experience with cryptography and cryptographic applications
Experience with AntiTamper and other securityrelated engineering products/systems
Experience and/or training in Earned Value Management
Experience with Supply Chain Risk Analysis
Experience and/or training with Project Management
Experience with multilevel security solutions
Prior work experience in both Systems Engineering and Software Engineering practices
History of interaction with customers to define requirements solutions trades costs implementation system impacts and effectiveness
Experience with security standards methods and policies; risk and threat analysis; technical security safeguards; and operational security measures
Has worked on Program Protection Plan (PPP) required by DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5200.39
Published written and/or verbal communications
Certifications (i.e. CISSP Security)
