Principal - Portfolio Strategy amp Operations

What we are looking for

In this role you will be in charge of supporting our existing and future portfolio companies with strategic partnerships equity story building and network strengthening with key potential acquirers. You will also work very closely with our founders to help them prepare for critical stages of their journey (fundraising M&A ) and be responsible for enabling us to build liquidity optionality in Africa.

What does the job involve

• Build and execute exit plans for our portfolio to optimize the funds returns.
• Develop transformative partnerships for our portfolio with key industry players
• Create a strong network of potential strategic financial partners (leading industry players large tech and corporate players investors bankers ) across the world
• Follow coordinate or lead portfolio fundraising efforts to make it as smooth as possible and optimize.

• Identify and evaluate acquisition targets for our portfolio and support them in closing the deals.

Qualifications

• 7 10 years of professional experience
• A Strong longterm commitment to Africa
• Ideal previous experience in large leading tech players M&Aand startup leadership positions
• Proven interest in tech entrepreneurship and experience in working with earlystage tech companies.
• Strong knowledge of local markets and tech ecosystems (ideally worked/lived in Africa)
• Experience in other emerging markets is a plus (SE Asia Latin America China etc.)
