Description
Position Summary:
The PreSchool Coordinator is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the operation and development of the preschool program. This position involves providing instructional leadership curriculum development and administrative support to ensure the provision of highquality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with early childhood educators to develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with international standards and best practices in early childhood education.
2. Provide guidance support and mentorship to preschool teachers assisting them in implementing effective teaching strategies promoting student engagement and meeting the diverse needs of young learners.
3. Oversee the daytoday operations of the preschool program including scheduling staffing and resource allocation to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the program.
4. Foster positive relationships with parents and the broader community communicating regularly with parents organizing parent education workshops and facilitating opportunities for parental involvement in the program.
5. Identify professional development needs for preschool staff and coordinate relevant training opportunities workshops and conferences to support their ongoing growth and development as educators.
6. Implement assessment strategies to monitor student progress analyze data to inform instructional decisionmaking and evaluate the effectiveness of the preschool program in achieving learning outcomes.
8. Work collaboratively with the schools leadership team participating in meetings committees and decisionmaking processes to support the overall mission and goals of the international school.
9. Engage in professional learning communities networks and partnerships to stay updated on current research trends and best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in related field; Masters degree preferred.
2. Teaching certification in Early Childhood Education preferred.
3. Previous experience working in an international school setting or with diverse student populations.
4. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team of preschool educators.
5. Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and pedagogies in early childhood education.
6. Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
7. Knowledge of international early years curriculum frameworks (e.g. International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme Reggio Emilia approach) preferred.
8. Familiarity with technology integration in early childhood education.
