Job Description:

The Plate rolling machine operator under supervision will operate all equipment within the manufacturing process applicable to the department. Roll various products such as cylinders half cylinders and weld pads using materials ranging from thin gauge up to 2 thick steel sheets. Participates in pre and postplanned readiness of parts and tools performing preventive maintenance and assisting with installation activities as directed by the lead man or production supervisor roll cylinders. Ensures operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Participates in housekeeping activities as directed by lead and/or foreman. Participates regarding installation activities of components as directed by lead man and/or foreman. Assists departmental team members regarding completion of job functions as directed by the lead man and/or Production Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience operating plate rolling equipment. Must be able to read/ interpret tape measures and measuring devices. Experience in operating electric and hand tools as well as being able to be trained or have experience operating a variety of automatic material processing equipment. High School Diploma or GED minimum requirement.
