A national Packaging Manufacturer has an opportunity for a dynamic highly motivated Plant Manager to oversee operations at their facility in Roodekop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieving production efficiencies of at least 85%
- Managing raw material packaging and finished good stock
- Managing the maintenance and service of machinery and moulds
- Implementing measurable technical and process development and improvements
- Ensuring customer satisfaction
- Implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 quality system
- Developing a budget for production in conjunction with the Operations Manager
- Managing budget i.t.o. labour materials maintenance/repairs and packaging
- Recruiting and selecting staff
- Managing individual and team performance
- Ensuring a safe working environment and proper housekeeping
Requirements
- A completed Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree is essential.
- Minimum 5 years plus Senior Production/GM/Plant/Ops Management experience in Manufacturing and Production (High volume Packaging or FMCG preferable NO batch production or electronics manufacturing)
- 5 years plus Production and Maintenance Management experience essential
- Intermediate excel and ability to work with numbers and people
- SAP experience will be beneficial
- Handson technical experience with PLC s Hydraulics Pneumatics gears motors etc in current or previous roles
