PIPING PLANNING ENGINEER

1. Project Planning:
   

   • Develop detailed project plans for piping activities considering project timelines budgets and resource requirements.
     
   • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate piping plans into the overall project schedule.
     

2. Piping Design Review:
   

   • Review and analyze piping design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with industry codes standards and project requirements.
     
   • Work closely with the design team to identify and resolve any design issues or discrepancies.
     

3. Material Selection:
   

   • Assist in selecting appropriate materials for piping systems based on project specifications codes and environmental conditions.
     
   • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely and costeffective sourcing of piping materials.
     

4. Cost Estimation:
   

   • Prepare cost estimates for piping materials labor and other resources required for the project.
     
   • Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle identifying and addressing cost overruns or deviations from the budget.
     

5. Risk Assessment:
   

   • Conduct risk assessments related to piping activities and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
     
   • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all piping planning activities.
     

6. Coordination and Communication:
   

   • Collaborate with various project stakeholders including engineers designers procurement teams and construction teams.
     
   • Maintain effective communication channels to ensure that all parties are informed of the progress challenges and changes in the piping plans.
     

7. Quality Control:
   

   • Implement quality control procedures to ensure that piping systems meet the required standards and specifications.
     
   • Conduct inspections and audits to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
     

8. Documentation:
   

   • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all piping planning activities including drawings specifications reports and correspondence.
     
   • Ensure that asbuilt documentation accurately reflects the final installed piping systems.
     

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Relevant experience in piping engineering and planning.
  
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME API etc.).
  
• Proficiency in piping design software and project management tools.
  
• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
  
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the industry.
