Physical Therapy Assistant

Under general guidance of the Director Physical Therapy this position will function in the areas including but not limited to: Physical Therapy Assistant and Aide supervision in and outpatient. Monitors district compliance with all regulations regarding duties and work requirements of Physical Therapist Assistant and Aide positions. Implements strategies to improve departmental safety and infection control concerns for visitors patients and staff in Physical Therapy Department. Provides all required internal reporting of issues related to department PT Assistant s and Aides Qualifications Skills and Abilities Required Ability to teach and evaluate clinical performance for Assistant s and Aide s. Provide medical Spanish translation for front office and Physical Therapists as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent verbal written and listening skills. Education and Training Holds a current state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant Medical Spanish Terminology certification Gerontology with cognitive decline treatment skills and patient/caregiver intervention strategies
