Job Description

A Phlebotomist is a medical professional who draws blood samples from patients for laboratory testing. They also collect other specimens such as urine sputum and throat swabs. Phlebotomists play a vital role in healthcare by providing accurate and timely blood samples that help doctors diagnose and treat diseases.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for blood draws by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
  • Select the appropriate needle and vein for the blood draw.
  • Draw blood from patients using venipuncture or fingerstick methods.
  • Label and package blood samples for transport to the laboratory.
  • Perform other laboratory tests such as blood glucose monitoring and urinalysis.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
Education: DMLT/Bsc MLT

Salary: 14000..00 per month
