PGT ENGLISH

1. Plan and deliver classroom instruction: PGT teachers are responsible for creating lesson plans and delivering instruction in their subject area. This may include preparing and presenting lectures facilitating class discussions and designing and grading assignments.
   

2. Assess student progress: PGT teachers must monitor student progress and provide feedback on their performance. This may involve administering tests and quizzes grading assignments and projects and maintaining accurate records of student grades and attendance.
   

3. Manage classroom behavior: PGT teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. This may involve establishing and enforcing rules for behavior managing student conflicts and working with students who require extra support.
   

4. Communicate with parents and administrators: PGT teachers must communicate regularly with parents and school administrators to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or issues.
   

5. Participate in professional development: PGT teachers are expected to engage in ongoing professional development to stay uptodate with the latest teaching methods and technology.
   

6. Perform other duties as assigned: PGT teachers may be responsible for other duties as assigned by the school such as participating in school committees attending faculty meetings and serving as a mentor to new teachers.
