What does the People and Culture Advisorat Collinson do

We are looking for a P&C advisor to come and join the team on a fixed term contract (1214 months).The People and Culture Advisor will play a vital role in supporting the People and Culture (P&C) business partnering team to enable delivery of a firstclass advisory service to the business through the provision of efficient employee relationships across the full Colleague lifecycle

Key Responsibilitiesof this role include

  • Supports the P&C Business Partner team with a range of P&C priorities and processes aligned to the annual calendar P&C cyclical processes including but not limited to ASR and Bonus Colleague Engagement Survey Talent and Succession Reviews Recruitment Performance Reviews.
  • Dealing with matters of employee relations to a best practice standard.
  • Advise and assist people managers in disciplinary grievance probation management performance management sickness absence flexible working and investigatory process and meetings.
  • Advise on any escalated issues relating to family friendly policies and processes including parental leave maternity paternity adoption and shared parental leave.
  • Referring to the relevant P&C policies and taking ownership of case conclusion and all accompanying documentation/follow up required.
  • Provide advice relating to visa and eligibility to work in the UK including assigning certificate of sponsorships for skilled worker visa applications and indefinite leave to remain applications.
  • Production and development of Management Information relating to the employee lifecycle processes and providing insights for the P&C dashboards.
  • Creation and delivery of P&C training sessions and materials to develop and upskill the wider business on P&C policies and processes.
  • Updating of policies and procedures assigned in line with current legislation and aligned with the P&C strategy and priorities.
  • Occasional travel to the Haywards Heath / London office (dependent on base location).
  • Any project work allocated by the P&C Business Partners or Senior P&C Business Partners.

Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application included

  • P&C Generalist experience essential with employee relations experience desirable.
  • Desirable to have experience of working within a specialist P&C function e.g. Learning & Development HR Operations Reward.
  • CIPD qualification (part or fully qualified) desirable.
  • Good knowledge of P&C policies systems (preferably Cascade) procedures guidelines and philosophies.
  • Have strong working knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • Competent to manage Certificate of Sponsorships and Indefinite Leave to Remain employee requests and processes.
  • Be well organised with the ability to plan prioritise and manage a high volume of casework.
  • Can remain calm under pressure.
  • Can apply sound judgement and balance commercial needs of the business whilst mitigating any risk to the business.
