We are looking for a PartTime teacher of Art to deliver inspirational and exciting lessons across KS3.

Drawing painting and traditional art skills are essential for this role as the curriculum at KS3 leads into the Edexcel Fine Art GCSE and A Level.We are looking for a PartTime teacher of Art to deliver inspirational and exciting lessons across KS3.

Drawing painting and traditional art skills are essential for this role as the curriculum at KS3 leads into the Edexcel Fine Art GCSE and A Level.

The ability to be flexible and innovative in your approach to teaching art in an environment of high expectations as a key member of a successful art department at Laude San Pedro is essential.

As part of the Creative Arts department you will be working with a range of teachers who are all specialists in their subject including Music Dance Drama and Food Technology. Experience of Digital drawing and 3D design would also be a desirable skill with the possibility of the successful candidate being able to offer a wider range of modern art experiences.

Tasks

  • To deliver engaging whole class lessons and further develop students art skills at KS3.
  • To plan an innovative and engaging curriculum of Art education from year 7 to year 9
  • To further build the status and quality of work of Visual Arts within the school and wider community.
  • To contribute to experiential and extra curricular learning opportunities to inspire and extend our students.
  • To collaborate with the Arts team in further building a department that is fully engaging and inspiring for our student body.
  • To contribute to the safeguarding of our students through duties and cover responsibilities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Art education.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Fine Art or a related field.
  • Teaching certification and/or relevant licensure.
  • Experience in Teaching of UK KS3 curriculum.
  • High level of personal artistic skill.
