PaintShop Supervisor

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise train and mentor paint shop employees
• Oversee the mixing and application of paint
• Monitor and maintain inventory of paint supplies and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Implement and maintain quality control measures
• Collaborate with production planning to meet deadlines
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the paint process
• Coordinate with maintenance for equipment repairs and maintenance
• Manage and optimize the use of paint materials
• Prepare reports on paint shop activities and performance
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the paint shop area
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage budget and expenses for the paint shop
• Participate in hiring and performance evaluations
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor s degree in a related field preferred
• Proven experience in paint application and mixing
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of paint shop operations and equipment
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Detailoriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
• Proficient in MS Office and paint shop software
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required
• Certification in paint application or related field is a plus
• Strong understanding of color theory and paint matching
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
