Packaging Engineer

We are looking for a packaging engineer. This is on the New product development team responsible for packaging for THV products.

Systems include: Cape Pack for pallet design development and SolidWorks.

Day to day: 8 am to 5 pm. This person will be focused on developing protocols for and implement package design packaging process validation and package shelflife testing as well as driving new packaging technologies and strategies to improve time to market and advance the technology of package engineering.

Must have: Engineering background with medical device packaging design development experience and understanding of ISO 11607 packaging regulations. Designing in SolidWorks or any other system knowledge Statistical analysis skills.

The role:

Prepare sketches of ideas detailed drawings illustrations artwork or blueprints using drafting instruments paints and brushes or computeraided design equipment.

Modify and refine designs using working models to conform with customer specifications production limitations or changes in design trends.

Coordinate the look and function of product lines.

Confer with engineering marketing production or sales departments or with customers to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.

Skills:

Sterile barrier system packaging experience is strongly preferred.

Medical device packaging design preferred

Education/Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering Packaging degree is preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience or Masters Degree or equivalent in internship senior projects or thesis in Engineering including either industry or industry/education.
