Job Description:
Performs the following duties and other related activities as assigned.
Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements.
May perform as a member of a functional and/or cross functional team. Duties include assembly disassembly reassembly fabrication screen repair adjustment test and/or verification of complex electronic electrical mechanical hydraulic and structural systems in accordance with common military commercial and aerospace specifications.
Typical systems include avionics missiles weapons controls aircraft armament bomb racks launchers and associated equipment. Electrical duties may include but are not limited to removal and installation of components connectors and wiring into cabinets chassis and console type assemblies.
Mechanical duties include but are not limited to removal installation and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.
Structural duties may include but are not limited to light machining sheetmetal work drilling riveting and airframe repairs.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School degree or GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools electric tools hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
May perform informal inprocess checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Must be able to read interpret and analyse engineering drawings production planning and other technical documents as well as possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic electromechanical and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires bending reaching and lifting of objects within Vertex EHS guidelines.
