Oracle EPR Database Systems Administrator

Skills Required:

The Technical Architect will possess knowledge and experience in analyses and development of conceptual designs and detail designs; designing DB schema as per the requirements and in sync with the old system; implementing the daily and weekly jobs that interact with external interfaces; coordinating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements; communicate with cross-divisional personnel at both team and executive levels to understand performance measurement methodologies; and direct team members in compiling business requirements and executing project milestones.

Skills Preferred:

Skilled in Oracle database performance tuning. Oracle database backup, restore, and disaster recovery design and deployment using enterprise backup solutions such as CommVault. Knowledge in database cloning using Dell/EMC AppSync Copy Data Management and CommVault. Automation of routine manual Oracle database system management tasks, using scripting tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Control-M, Azure DevOps and Oracle Enterprise Manager. Deploys, configures, and supports databases in Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, RDS, Aurora. Deploys, configures, and supports databases in ERP solutions such as CGI Advantage and InfoAdvantage. Knowledge in AWS monitoring and logging services. Deploys Oracle database security patches following vendor best practices. Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external management teams, developers, network and infrastructure teams.

Experience Required:

This classification must have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming or testing, Oracle database system management.

Experience Preferred:

Minimum 10 years of experience supporting Oracle versions 12.x and above; planning, deploying, managing Oracle Patch Security Updates; Architecting Oracle database system deployments on Windows O/S, Linux, AWS, Unix, running on IBM AIX and VMware infrastructures. Minimum two years of experience configuring, deploying and managing Oracle Advanced Security Option for database security; deploying, configurating, and support of databases for ERP solutions using CGI Advantage and InfoAdvantage; utilizing Oracle replication methods such as Data Guard; developing scripts using tools such as Shell, Perl, Python, Jenkins, Ansible Tower and Control-M, to automate manual database administration tasks; deploying, upgrading, managing, and monitoring Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform; performing database backups, restores, cloning, disaster recovery processes using Dell/EMC AppSync Copy Data Management and CommVault solutions; configuring Oracle Audit Vault, Key Vault, and Oracle Enterprise Manager; configuring and managing Oracle RAC; deploying, configuring, monitoring, securing PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora Database and AWS RDS database servers.
