Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive eye examinations
• Diagnosing visual problems and eye diseases
• Prescribing eyeglasses contact lenses and other visual aids
• Managing and treating conditions such as glaucoma cataracts and dry eyes
• Performing specialized tests to determine the health of the eyes
• Providing pre and postoperative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
• Advising patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures
• Collaborating with ophthalmologists for advanced care and referral
• Keeping accurate and updated patient records
• Participating in educational and outreach programs
• Staying abreast of industry developments and new technologies
• Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
• Providing excellent customer service and compassionate care

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
• Licensure to practice optometry in the relevant state
• Proven experience in optometry or a similar clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of ocular diseases conditions and treatment options
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and performing tests
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
