Operations Manager

Our client an tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team! In this role you will be responsible for production maintenance tooling and lean manufacturing. Reporting to the Plant manager and supervising a team; Tooling Manager Plant Engineer Manager Manufacturing Engineer and production supervisors

Responsibilities:

• Manages production through firstline schedules and projects production and manpower to effectively
• utilize manpower and ensure production schedules and quality requirements are met.
• Operate in compliance with the Collective Agreement and manage the employee issues
• Provides guidance to direct manufacturing process plan including personnel requirements production
• Maintenance and Tooling requirements.
• Responsible for safety and health regulations in the Production Maintenance and Tooling
• Budgeting for Production Maintenance and Tooling and Lean Manufacturing with the
• assistance of the Controller.
• Maintains collective agreement IATF 16949 requirements including implementation of WOL standards and
• provides action plans to ensure proper implementation for areas of responsibilities.
• Work directly with maintenance and tooling to ensure PM programs are managed.
• Lean Leader for areas under his/her responsibility engages the teams to implement our WPS in their
• respective areas ensuring execution with the assistance of the Manufacturing Engineer.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or business or equivalent in experience.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience in tier 1 or tier 2 Automotive preferred
• JIT processbased manufacturing including automotive Industry experience
• Cost management material/logistics forecasting/planning including KPIs / quantifiable successes
• IATF audit processes and safety audits experience
• Excellent communicator with leadership skills along with building relationships with customers
• Lean Manufacturing 5s Six Sigma or other training would be highly preferred

Location: Ypsilanti MI area

Salary: $120$140k 10% bonus depending on experience & Excellent benefits!!
