On The Road Sales Consultant is responsible for generating sales by meeting with potential and existing clients in various locations outside the office. This role demands a high level of flexibility excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic sales environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and a deep understanding of the company s products or services.

Requirements

Hard Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing an online diary with the assistance of our administrative team is required.
  • Comprehensive computer skills are necessary including familiarity with the following software and systems: Online Ordering Portal Skynamo Tracking System One Drive (File Sharing) Outlook (Emails & Online Calendar) and Excel.
  • The candidate should be adept at taking orders during client visits and entering them into our online ordering portal both throughout the day and when needed after hours.
  • Additional responsibilities include conducting store visits for product launches kit checks merchandising of both retail and professional stock troubleshooting issues (excluding training) highlighting products and providing general value additions to our offerings.

Soft Skills:

  • The role demands strong interpersonal organizational administrative and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent proficiency in English both verbal and written is essential.
  • Exceptional time management skills are crucial along with the capability to efficiently complete tasks on schedule and seek support when necessary.
  • A thorough understanding of completing tasks effectively while supporting multiple communication platforms such as WhatsApp emails phone calls and online diary management is required.
  • The applicant must be capable of quickly learning and adhering to the companys Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

NonNegotiables:

  • Mandatory ontheroad sales experience and professional training or experience in nail care.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle a valid drivers license and insurance coverage for rentals in case the personal vehicle is unavailable due to an accident or mechanical issues is required.
  • Work hours are set with the first appointment at 8:30 AM and the last appointment concluding at 4:45 PM followed by a 15minute daily debrief with the sales team via voice call.
  • Attendance at bimonthly AM and PM internal training sessions is mandatory with sessions potentially scheduled for 7:308:30 AM or 5:306:30 PM though exact times may vary.
  • The role includes conducting 5 to 8 client visits per day based on the assigned area with all visits needing to be scheduled in advance and rebooked for the subsequent two months.
  • External employment including work at beauty salons or pursuing studies aimed at a career change is not permitted.
  • Given the jobs demands having family support for childcare where applicable is crucial as the position offers fulltime hours without flexibility.
  • Smoking is prohibited during work hours.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance including attire hair and makeup is expected at all times.

The applicant must be based in one of the specified areas within Cape Town which include:

  • City Bowl
  • Atlantic Seaboard
  • Southern Suburb
  • South Peninsula
  • Milnerton
Please note applicants from the Northern Suburbs West Coast or Winelands are not eligible.

Benefits

R500.00 towards medical aid contributions. R900.00 contribution for tire expenses. Budget R200.00 for nail beauty treatments from March to August and R300 for the same from August to March. Incur a travel expense of R0.32 per kilometer solely for workrelated purposes. A petrol card is provided for workrelated travel exclusively. A phone and tablet are supplied inclusive of minutes and data strictly for work communications and usage.
