POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) under the direction of the Medical Director/Supervising Physician and/or the Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis psychosocial assessment and management of healthillness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients families students and nursing staff. May act as a first assistant to the supervising surgeon if qualified and certified. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of the company and serves as a role model to other employees.
This is a clinicbased/shift work position
Requirements
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program
Desired:
- Masters prepared
- Recent experience in Urogynecology
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current license with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Meets Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
- Current AHAHCP CPR recognition
- Current ACLS recognition (within 6 months of hire)
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) (if acting as a first assistant)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Must be able to lead motivate delegate analyze information and problem solve.
Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Associates/CoARC Accredited program Experience: No Experience Supervisor Experience: Non-Required Licenses & Certifications: Basic Cardiovascular Life Support, Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT
