Nurse Practitioner for Telemed company

Job Types: Contract Per diem Locum tenens Remote

Salary: $25.00 per consult (provider can complete 4 consults per hour)

Under supervision of a BoardCertified Physician the NP performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient assessment diagnosis treatment and followup care via telehealth.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner

Current license as an Advanced Practice Provider by the New York Board of Nursing

Enrolled with Medicare and Medicaid

Must live in New York

Responsibilities:

Maintain orderly efficient and timely flow of patients

Responsible for virtual evaluation and treatment of a variety of patients

Provide instruction to patients regarding medications and treatment

Assess patient/family level of understanding to enhance effective communication and education

Screen patients for appropriate clinical information accurately document vitals condition medications and other relevant medical information using EMR system

Instruct patients in collection of samples and inform them of diagnostic tests/procedures

Provide postprocedure instructions to patient / family prior to discharge

Provide compassionate professional patient care and perform multiple tasks in a fastpaced work environment

Examines patient takes medical history records results and makes preliminary diagnosis or decides on followup procedures

Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment

Develops and implements patient care plans instructs and counsels patients and records progress.
