ABOUT THE ROLE

1. The Network Administrator installs configures andsupports an organizations local area network (LAN) wide area network (WAN)and Internet system or a segment of a network system.

2. Maintain network hardware and software.

3. Monitor network to ensure network availability to allsystem users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.

4. May supervise other network support and client serverspecialists and plan coordinate and implement network security measures.

5. Coordinate the development implementation andmaintenance of a local area network or wide area network.

6. Maintains the networks physical and logical structuresincluding network connections.

7. Maintains network support software analyzes user supportstatistics and recommends appropriate measures.

8. Installs testsand maintains network hardware and software.

9. Prepares and analyzes statistics on network utilizationand availability.

10. Prepares training courses and provides user support andtraining in the use of available hardware software and utilities.

11. Performs tuning and capacity planning activities toenhance the performance of the network resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with network administration in amedium sized campus.

Knowledgeable on network protocols: DNS DHCPIP connectivity (Layers 13).

Experience troubleshooting IoT devices on thenetwork.

Experience troubleshooting wired and wirelessclients.

Great customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of NAC especially Cisco ISE.

Industry Certifications CCNA preferred.

Experience with monitoring tools such as CiscoDNA Center and SolarWinds.

Experience with Juniper Mist Wired andWireless.
