Centra Medical Group (CMG) is comprised of 500 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers and serves 600000 central and southern Virginians. CMG offers an integrated healthcare system including 4 hospitals 5 regional medical centers 70 physician practices including primary care medical and surgical specialists. Centra is continuing to grow with plans to expand into a larger campus in the next few years. These plans include the construction of a new specialty office building which will house the Brain and Spine programs along with other surgical specialists. In addition a new 5story patient care tower will house an additional 100 patients at Lynchburg General Hospital. The LGH ED will be replaced and incorporated as part of the new Northeast Tower. The new Emergency Department will include 71 treatment bays five trauma bays and four imaging rooms. Enhancements will include a split flow model of care to expedite and enhance patient experience of care an integrated EmPATH psychiatric patient space super track/imaging/results lounge and improved connectivity and utilization of the ED observation unit.

About the Practice
The CMG Neurosciences division has grown significantly in the past several years to include specialized Epilepsy services complete with epilepsy monitoring unit neurodiagnostic and research stroke and neurovascular services and development of a comprehensive headache center with plans for expansion to treating concussions. CMG Neurosciences has also developed a movement disorders program and a dedicated MS Clinic to address these patients' specific needs. This will include the development of a robust DBS program including surgical options and medical management of DBS devices. The department has 3 full time neurosurgeons trained in spine complex spine and vascular neurosurgery. Within the neurovascular services the team offers a full range of clinical capability from endovascular procedures to open cerebrovascular procedures addressing AVMs aneurysms and tumors. Finally the department has begun to dedicate resources to the development of research within the Neurosciences department; these efforts will continue to expand with the addition of the MS clinic and the Movement Disorders program.
Joining a three surgeon and 4 APP neurosurgery group that is expanding into a multimilliondollar complex in 2025. We have an excellent group of surgeons and APP who will work to help bring this new provider up to speed to help service our busy community hospital.

- Collaborative approach to care in partnership with IP/OP Rehab PM&R.
- Currently amid developing a comprehensive spine collaborative to provide cohesive spine care for the community.
- Dyad led service line model.
- Two primary practice sites in Lynchburg and Farmville with additional satellite clinics in Gretna and Danville.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the Brain & Spine service line to design and implement systems of care that engage patients and caregivers alike to achieve optimal outcomes for patients with neurological conditions in partnership with the service line medical director and administrative leadership.
- Partner with providers administration nursing and frontline caregivers to continually improve operational performance of the service line across all sites.
- Opportunity to lead efforts to develop spine care delivery systems throughout Centra and the community.
- Provide leadership for transitioning to valuebased payment systems.
- Member of Brain and Spine Council that sets strategy finance and quality for service line.
- Position has oversight of both neurology and neurosurgery.
