Our client is looking for a Network Technician to join their team!

Job Description:

Work under the supervision of the IT Manager in the design implementation maintenance and support the clients network infrastructure. Perform maintenance repairs upgrades and setup of personal computers printers and other network hardware. Be the firstline of support to the clients network users.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs patches hot fixes and security configurations.
• Provide Level 1 support to local and remote users of the network using the Sysaid Ticketing system and various remote support software tools.
• Excellent communication skills; specifically the ability to make technical concepts understandable to a nontechnical audience
• Organize and complete equipment replacements repairs upgrades and maintenance in a manner that minimizes the impact to users completing their daily work.
• Assist in regular data backups to protect the organization’s information.
• Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
• Implement security tools policies and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security policy.
• Perform other related support type duties as required or assigned.

• BS degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field from a fouryear college or university desired
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting Windows servers/workstations and networking infrastructure required.
• Applicant must be ITAR compliant.
• Proven working knowledge of Windows PCs Windows Office Suites Windows Server configurations and Windows domain services.
• Handson experience with network monitoring diagnostic and analytics tools
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks TCP/IP protocols DCHP DNS and network technologies
• Experience with network security hardware (Sonicwall NSA experience is a plus)
• Experience with or willingness to learn ASP.net web programming for internal intranet is a plus

• Three years minimum
