Staysure continues to grow into a leading InsurTech business with ambitions to disrupt the Insurance and Financial Services sector through its innovative suite of products. The technology and engineering teams are critical to achieving this aim and ultimately the future strategy of the Staysure Group as it evolves to become a technology first organisation. .

Bolstering the technical leadership capability by blending impactful people leadership and technology credibility the Back End Engineering Manager will initially lead a talented engineering team of 25 predominately based in Staysures development centres in Sri Lanka and India. With 5 Technical Leads reporting directly into this role

Your primary responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring junior team members to establish a strong .Net foundation within the company. You will lead the team in designing developing and maintaining web applications using .Net while ensuring code quality through the introduction of best practice and new standards.

Our primary development center is based in Sri Lanka and we would need you to be experienced in working with remote teams. Travel to the team periodically throughout the year will be required in this role.

Essential Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Senior .Net Developer Lead or Architect or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of .Net Framework and C# .
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Visual studio.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
• Youll line manage mentor and coach software engineers while focusing on their engagement retention growth and career development.
• Experience in the configuration & management of CI/CD tooling.
• A passion for driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation
• A core understanding of web development technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript.

Process and Tools:

• Agile for estimates story points sprints demos and flexibility.
• Bitbucket for code versioning.
• Jira and Confluence for documentation and ticket management service desk and knowledge base.
• Jenkins as the Build tool.
