Motion Graphic Animator

The Role

ddx is recruiting a Motion Graphic Animator to work across several projects in Bangkok. ddx works closely with international enterprises and specialist companies to help them achieve their business goals.

We are looking for an animator to join our team of creatives to help develop unique exciting game experiences set in vast story worlds built on great stories. This role will be responsible for working with the Gamification and Strategy Consultant to provide animated game scenarios for our customers and their projects.

The Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate will have proven experience in motion graphic animation especially with a simplified yet expressive style of animation. Strong visual imagination and organisational skills are required. The candidate is expected to be able to develop a storyboard from a given story and script.
  
• Rather than being told what to do our Motion Graphic Animators are flexible thinkers when it comes to animation development design and problemsolving. The position is a visual creative position and applicants MUST provide an online portfolio that demonstrates motion/video design.
  
• DDX is curious about why people do what they do. We use qualitative research rapid prototyping and business value analysis in an iterative agile delivery environment.
  

Responsibilities

• Develop game animated content
  
• Manage and maintain animation assets
  
• Develop a storyboard from a given script
  
• Plan and pitch animations to project leadership and client as needed
  
• Setting and/or adopting the tone and animation style that support game design goals while staying on brand
  
• Ensuring that all animation files are up to date and accessible to various teams
  
• Collaborating and updating with Game/Development Teams to fulfil game needs
  
• Work in an informal collaborative transparent egofree culture where your talent is valued over your title
  
• Develop your career outside of the confines of a traditional career path by focusing on what you re passionate about instead of a predetermined onesizefitsall plan

Requirements

Experience / Qualifications

• You have knowledge and understanding of animation
  
• You have a strong understanding of narrative game storytelling and the impact of animation on player experience
  
• You are passionate about playing games across multiple genres
  
• Strong communication planning and documentation skills
  
• Strong independent problemsolving and timemanagement skills
  
• Expertise in Adobe After Effects Photoshop Illustrator Mac OS and other tricks & tools
  
• A big plus if you worked with JSON files before.
  
• Experience with fastpaced work rush requests and quick updates
