Job Summary:
A Staff Attorney assists the team in managing multiple cases. This role will assist in preparing litigation reports and risk assessments draft legal documents and make court appearances on behalf of our clients. This role focus areas are M&C Motions Privilege Logs Form and Letter Drafting Subpoenas Discovery Summaries Research and Complaints.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in providing case evaluation legal support and guidance.
Assist in preparing litigation reports and risk assessments.
May attend hearings depositions and other court appearances.
Attend focus groups.
Stay informed about any current legislation.
Building trustworthy relationships with clients and experts.
Drafting legal documents such as depositions pleadings and contracts in a timely and
accurate manner.
Drafting and finalizing complaints meet and confer letters motions to compel and
discovery responses.
Assist in negotiating lowlevel settlements and attend mediations.
Researches and analyzes statutes regulations legal articles judicial decisions and other
legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
Assist in interviewing clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements.
Prepares organizes stores and retrieves case files which may include evidence
exhibits depositions pleadings exhibits and other items.
Gathers and assists in preparing new client questionnaire care packages
correspondence and documents to experts.
Assists attorneys with trial preparation which may include attending trials and hearings.
Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Adhoc duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in lawrelated field required.
Juris Doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school required.
Active license to practice law /membership in State Bar.
25 years of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
