Summary of Responsibilities
Great ethics, values, high energy and excellent problem-solving skills. Under the direction and supervision of the of the Lead Mitigation Technician and the Project Manager, responds to dispatched emergency calls and mitigation damages at a loss location, engaging in activities necessary to restore commercial and residential properties damaged by fire, smoke, water, mold, biohazard and other factors. Responds to job sites as directed and performs all tasks in accordance with company and industry certified standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure clear, two-way communication with the Lead Mitigation Technician and with the Project Manager
Maintain a clean and neat service vehicle and keep accurate tool inventory for emergency response needs
Load vehicle with equipment, products and supplies needed for projects
Work closely with Project Manager to execute assigned route
Set, monitor, and move equipment needed for water extraction and drying of premises, including reading and recording of data
Move, pack, store, catalog, and bar code customer contents, including household furnishings and other goods
Demolition of property and debris removal
Take samples to test for contaminants
Perform structural and content cleaning and assist with mold and bio-hazard cleanup
Maintain and create accurate and detailed measurements, diagrams, photos, journals, work orders, and other documentation, as required for each job, including data entry into job management and data tracking systems, using multiple software databases
Communicate details of work performed, and job status clearly and succinctly with clients, managers, team members, and other parties
Always maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Understand and follow all safe work practices, ensuring that all equipment is operated properly
Maintain a clean and orderly appearance at the job site - debris should be cleaned up before leaving the job
Ensure that all tools and equipment are accounted for before leaving the job site
All other duties as assigned


Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Previous experience working in the Restoration industry is preferred
Must be able to use basic hand tools, such as screwdriver, wrench, hammer crowbar, and power tools
Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, and balance
Must be able to perform each task wearing all of the required PPE devices, including full and half-face respirators, Tyvek suit, rubber boots, eye protection and gloves
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, as well as harsh indoor conditions
Must be able to complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner
Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
Ability to communicate effectively with all departments
Ability to participate in and facilitate a team approach
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Must be willing to learn new task/jobs
Must be available to work overtime and weekends, and participate in the on-call rotation for emergency after hours calls

Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Participation in IICRC WRT Certification for Technicians training activities as directed
