Senior Middleware Engineer JBOSS/Tomcat/IIS/Weblogic
Required Technical Skill Set
Good knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD Automation
Experience supporting and managing SDLC with SonaType Nexus Repository and Sonatype Nexus IQ
Knowledge of Splunk Enterprise cluster support and management
Understanding of SSL certificate management
Knowledge of installing SSL certificates to F5 s and other webserver environments
Experience with F5 virtual server and pool management
Basic knowledge of GitLab SCM
Knowledge to support and manage software quality tool SonarQube
Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible
Experience with Apache and JBoss support and management
MustHave
Good knowledge of Jenkins master and agent node management
Experience create Jenkins Freestyle and Pipeline jobs.
Good knowledge of SSL certificate management.
GoodtoHave
Good understanding on Operating Systems (Linux Windows) Database Network and DevSecOps
Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role
1. Proficiency and expert knowledge and experience in Web platform technologies such as Microsoft IIS Apache Tomcat server Apache HTTPS server Web platform services Expert
2. Knowledge of installation configuration and maintenance of Tuxedo Software and Servers Perl and Micro Focus Cobol runtime environment and compiler.
3. Expert Knowledge on Ansible Salt Git Lab runner Icinga Nagios SCOM Monitoring tools
4. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Web platform operation team
5. Lead the architecture Plan and design of web platform solutions focusing on technologies like Tomcat Apache and IIS
6. Design Plan and implement highavailability and loadbalancing strategies to ensure seamless platform performance
7. Installation configuration and maintenance dismantling of Apache Tomcat and IIS instance ensuring adherence to best practices.
8. Integration of Upstream and Downstream systems. Such as Apache http Apache Tomcat Database server file system server configuration of AJP connector email server MQ server.
9. Implement security measures including SSL certificates firewalls access controls and vulnerability assessments to protect web servers and applications.
10. Provide expertlevel technical support for Web platform operation related issues offering strategic guidance for problem resolution.
11. Collaborate with web application owners to facilitate the deployment of systems applications and services on Web platforms system (Tomcat apache and IIS) Customize the web application configuration properties initiate deployment of web applications (EAR WAR file) on web platform system.
12. Deploy web applications and updates including WAR JAR and DLL files to the appropriate server environments.
13. Perform Daily routine activities Updating and routing Incident and request tickets Alerts monitoring Log monitoring Documentation.
14. Implement and Plan for updates patches and security fixes to servers and web applications to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
15. Setup installation and configuration of frameworks applications services accounts cron jobs and permission required for successful operation of web platform systems.
16. Lead efforts to optimize middleware performance through tuning monitoring and capacity planning.
17. Monitor and analyze platform performance proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and potential issues.
18. Implement automation and scripting for Web platform systems configurations deployments and routine tasks
19. Share knowledge and best practices to enhance the skillset of team members. Incidents Problems & Service request resolution adhering to SLA .
20. Perform Root cause analysis & Impact assessments.
21. Infrastructure health monitoring Backup and restore
22. Implementation of system change requests and releases.
23. Upgrade and patching of existing Web platform systems to newer versions.
24. Tools : Elastic Search Graylog WorkNode IBM license management Tool Gitlab Runner Salt etc. Knowledge on CI/CD pipeline creation. Technical skills: Knowledge of windows and linux operating system Middleware Administration Apache Tomcat Administration Apache HTTPS server Administration Tuxedo Software Micro Focus Cobol Runtime Perl runtime environment Ansible Salt Gitlab Runner Database (Oracle or MSSQL)
25. ITIL V3/V4 Foundation CertificationExperience purchasing SSL certificates from major Certificate Authorities.
26. Demonstrates ability to work as an individual contributor in a global team environment.
