Job Description:

Our client is seeking a qualified Process Engineer from a design house background within coal and iron ore to join their team in Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Sizing of equipment and evaluation according to clients’ needs.
• Carrying out site visits to establish, maintain and improve client relationships and equipment sales.
• Providing technical advice and assistance for performance optimization of equipment on site.
• Commissioning of equipment on site.
• Assisting with the compilation of tenders and quotes.
• Providing onsite training for process related issues.
• Developing systems and documentation to assist in the sizing and selection of equipment.
• Developing new equipment to ensure client requirements are met and keeping up with industry standards / trends.
• Providing mentoring and development to junior team members.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering.
• ECSA registration advantageous.
• 10 years previous experience in process engineering in coal and iron ore environments.
• 5 years previous experience working for a design house providing plant design services to the mining industry.
• Knowledge of a wide range or commodities within the mining sector.
• Strong understanding of flow sheets.
• Ability to carry out test work and evaluate results analytically.
• Sales / business development experience advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license.
• This role is only open to South African nationals currently residing in and around the Gauteng region.
