YOUR ROLE: MedTech Mechanical Engineer

You will complement the team of electrical engineers by designing and developing our medical brain stimulation device, iterating from first prototypes to serial-manufacturing ready products. For that, it is essential to co-locate with the team in Vienna, Austria - but we value performance and value-creation over facetime.

Tasks

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Build Brainstimulation headsets for at-home use

• Design, test, and develop prototypes for market that can withstand strong magnetic fields
• Design lightweight shielding for TMS-compatible EEG electrode circuits and microphones
• Develop at-home headwear for market considering UX & commercial viability
• Work within medical regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, IEC) and comply to ISO 13485 QMS as well as IEC60601 medical device safety standards
• Collaborate with regulatory, electrical engineering, and founding members to find pragmatic and compliant solutions to iterate quickly

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE: Drive & Ownership

Must-have s

• 4+ years of hands-on product development experience from prototyping to manufacturing
• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to assemble small series (CE compliance) yourself
• Experience with electro-mechanical CAD (Solidworks)
• Experience with 3D printing (ideally even with metals)
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot, fast
• Solutions-driven personality and high creativity
• Can-do attitude
• English proficiency
• Work permit for Austria

Nice-to-have s

• Advanced degree in (Electro-, Bio-) Mechanical Engineering or Neuroengineering
• Released at least one medical product to market (IEC60601, ISO 13485)
• Experience with designing devices on the head
• Experience working with dry EEG electrodes
