DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To take full responsibility of Repairs and Maintenance machinery.
To ensure all processes and standards are met.
To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the company’s Health and Safety policy.
Management of Repair and Maintenance Teams
Ensure adherence to Company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) through the ISO system.
To work closely with the Maintenance Controller to ensure quick action on breakdowns and repairs and handovers are effectively done.
To have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company.
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace using 5S and ISO.
Maintaining high level of timekeeping is of the essence.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Trade Certificate in Fitter and Turning
Mechanical Fitter Red Seal Certificate
3 – 4 years’ experience
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Working knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Working knowledge of preventative maintenance
Skilled in estimation
Basic Electrical knowledge
Responsible for the accurate and timeous repair of machinery
Excellent skill in accurate measurement and use of measurement equipment
Knowledge of overhead cranes to access outsourcing repairs.
