Job Description:

Our client, a progressive and innovative mining company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Superintendent to join their team in the North West. As the Mechanical Engineering Superintendent, you will be reporting to the Group Engineering Manager and would be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and coordinating the maintenance plans for area of responsibility
• Ensure adherence to legislation, policies and procedures
• Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational and engineering problems
• Participate in RCFA investigations to facilitate problem solving
• Identify and drive technical and process improvement
• Drive safety, engineering, quality, and cost drivers
• Implement Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence
• Adhere to all MHSA regulations, SHEQ regulations and Company policies and procedures

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• A completed BSC/ National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Government Certificate of Competence Mining
• Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in Engineering in Chrome Mining environment
• High Level of Competence in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Knowledge and experience of the MHSA (Advantageous)
• Strong Technical Skills, Results Orientated, Teamwork, Innovation, Planning and Organizing
