Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Candidate will be part of the Hardware Design & Analysis Engineering Test Equipment Package Design Team.
• Candidate examines engineering drawings and related documents for soundness efficiency and simplicity in design; completeness clarity and dimensional accuracy; correctness of materials and processes; conformity to design/drafting standards design specifications and practicability; and economy of fabrication assembly and installation.
• The Candidate must have experience in the skill set of CREO modeling and Windchill database use.
• They must also possess knowledge of documentation requirements and the use of Windchill PLM for a configuration management system.
• The Candidate must be proficient with the following tools:
• Creo Parametric 7.0
• Windchill 11.1
• Microsoft Office Products
• Adobe Acrobat
• Nuance/Kofax Power PDF.

The role will require proficiency in the following design areas:

• Electromechanical design and packaging
• Cables
• Breakout boxes
• Custom chassis
• Multibay test consoles
• Rack and stack
• Schematics (Mechanical Electrical)
• Mechanical fixturing
• Production test equipment
• Complete drawings with dimensioning views balloons and notes
• Parts list creation and correlation with drawings
• Drawing lifecycle support capability
• Ability to work with vagueincomplete engineering input
• Well versed in ASME Y14.100 Drawing Standards ASME Y14.5 GD&T
