Our primary competitive advantage is a long history of providing highly dependable electrical power conversion solutions and power engineering designs that are tailored to our clients specific needs.
The client is a recognized technical leader in power conversion design. We produce extremely dependable ruggedized power supplies and backup power (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for military aerospace industrial and commercial power applications.

We are looking for a handson Mechanical Engineer.
Here are some of the key responsibilities skills and qualifications we would like to see:

  • Interpret the consumer and marketing needs for new or changed goods.
  • Responsible for testing and developing existing electrical and power management systems.
  • Assist the Sales Department with the assessment and creation of bids for projects requiring power systems and power electronics equipment which sometimes have few or no reference designs.
  • Coordinates mechanical design paperwork safe agency approvals and design release for manufacturing.
  • Identify specify and choose components often found in power applications.
  • Develop and improve standardization productivity dependability maintainability and costcutting measures.
  • Modifying and assessing current mechanical designs.
  • Chooses components and equipment based on requirements design appropriateness manufacturability and dependability.
  • Worked on the packing and wiring of electromechanical assemblies.
  • Responsible for doing root cause analysis on goods and technical issues.
  • Examine product conformance with business standards customer specifications industry standards and legislation.
  • Prepares user documentation linked to the technical design of goods and components.

Skills

  • Capable of delegating and managing an engineering team as well as collaborating across disciplines in crossfunctional teams.
  • Must understand electromechanical design thermal analysis troubleshooting specification creation wiring diagrams technical manuals and written instructions. Experience with MILSTD environmental testing is advantageous.
  • Proficient with hand tools thermal measurements and thermal chambers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Access and SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Capable of writing test procedures and developing test fixtures.
  • Capable of efficiently communicating and developing professional connections with peers coworkers and customers.
  • Must be able to assess and test novel designs methodologies and components with an emphasis on Design for Manufacturability.
Education and / or Experience:
  • Experience with the ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • A bachelors degree (B.S.) in engineering or physical science with 3 to 7 years of related job experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of expertise utilizing appropriate 3D CAD and/or simulation software in accordance with applicable industry standards.
  • Experience with battery charging packing and wiring.
  • Understanding of MIL Standards for floating ground and airborne environments.
