Duration: 12 Months (renewable every year)

Location: Mossville IL 3days/week. Travel 10%

Dept overview: Power and electronics and motors org. Medium voltage. Traction motors generators

Role: more on the motor side and a bit on the generator side

FEA and CFD knowledge and experience are desired

Education/Experience: academic and internships will be considered.

57yrs engineering experience including detailing experience.

No upper limit on the experience

Work and drawings are more mechanical but open to electrical engineer

Positions Contributions to Work Group:

Support engineer providing design and detailing for generator and motor designs

Typical task breakdown:

CAD design and detailing

Teardown followup and analysis

Research design develop manufacture and test tools engines machines and other mechanical devices.

Research and analyze customer design proposals specifications manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.

Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.

Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools equipment or software.

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelors degree in engineering required

57 years total engineering experience

35 years of detailing experience

Masters Degree in engineering will be considered

Technical Skills

Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

CAD Detailing

Excel computation

Ability to make sketches engineering drawings and common computations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawing schematics and computergenerated reports.
