Mechanical Engineer - Entry Level

Growing Manufacturing Co near Pittsburgh PAhas a need for an Entry Level to Jr Mechancial Engineer

Travel required to company locations within US. Overnight stays estimated to be 30% to 50% of time.

Occasional International travel may be required

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred (Civil Electrical or Industrial to be considered dependent on relevant experience)
• Must have 12years of experience in relevant industrial design.
• Must be able to demonstrate project management experience on complex projects
• Strong written and oral communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or to participate on and lead cross functional teams
• Strong analytical skills to access situations and drive decision making.
• Solid skills in manufacturing process and a general business understanding.
• Knowledge of project management principles including proficient use of tools and software such as MS Project or other systems.
• Experience working in a global crossfunctional project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Interface with vendors to define project scope resolve technical issues and assist with preparation of procurement documents.
• Preparation of engineering project proposals.
• Check vendor drawings to insure design accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Develop evaluate implement and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of wood products
• Assess the availability of materials and their safety and environmental impact on a facility
• Responsible for new product concept product development pilot plant tests on new products cost reduction formulation and reverse engineering.
• Support the conversion of smallscale processes into commercially viable largescale operations
