The Meraki Content Marketing team is looking for an email copywriter to support various groups in the marketing organization, helping to bring our nerdy cool voice to life in emails and newsletters.
Our ideal candidate is not just a master of the subject line, they are also a passionate advocate for the customer, thoughtfully crafting email copy that will both delight and inspire those who engage with it. Not only is their copy a pleasure to read, but they are also dedicated to rigorously applying data-based learnings to continuously improve email performance.
As an in-house expert on email copy, the writer will need to have excellent interpersonal skills as they work with subject matter experts to adapt our messaging for the email format.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
Be a go-to writing resource for email copy in the marketing organization, reviewing or drafting copy as needed
Work closely with the email strategy team to understand email objectives, flow, cadence, etc.
Uphold the Meraki brand voice and tone while incorporating email best practices to drive engagement and optimize click conversions
Actively cultivate an always-learning mindset, with a curiosity and eagerness to learn about our technology and its benefits across industries
Be fiercely focused on understanding our customers and speak to them the way they would like to be spoken to
Candidates must meet the minimum requirements outlined.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: ("Must have" Qualifications)
3-5 years' experience writing at a tech company, marketing agency, or related experience
Experience writing top-performing email copy that drives strong engagement
Portfolio that showcases excellence in email copywriting, as well as a clean and polished style
Bachelor's degree in advertising/marketing, creative writing, or a related field
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/SYSTEM EXPERIENCE: ("Nice to have Qualifications")
Fierce curiosity and ability to quickly understand and then distill complex concepts and technologies into compelling email copy
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and to adjust to shifts in timelines, deadlines, budgets, and project goals
Strong communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and in a cross-functional fast-paced team environment
Experience with other types of short-form content, such as site copy, landing page copy, and social media copy, to serve as a backup for the go-to-market brand writer.
