Marketing Analyst

CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY

  • Designs and develops new marketing materials, and content on pages to Pierce Transit's website, to support marketing activities. Creates agency visuals, including branding, graphics, communications, interaction, research/strategic, or design for print media and digital delivery. Develops creative campaigns for various divisions within the Agency. Creates and executes campaigns for internal and external communication to combine content, graphics and video.
  • DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

    • This classification is distinguished by performance of advanced marketing assignments. This is the second in the marketing series of three, serving as a senior level designer.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Creates and manages Pierce Transit's visuals, including brochures, ride guides, rider alerts, pamphlets, and different forms of advertisement. Develops creative campaigns for different divisions within the organization and executes them according to Pierce Transit's vision and mission.
    • Designs and develops content for Pierce Transit's website to support marketing activities. Maintains and updates existing content.
    • May serves as the Agency webmaster, as assigned, and designs, writes code for, publishes, and maintains Pierce Transit's website.
    • Recommend and produce fleet graphics and paint schemes.
    • Researches and advises of industry trends and software maintenance/upgrades.
    • Consults with Agency staff regarding specific requests and general statements of need. Provides technical expertise, assistance, and recommendations regarding requested materials.
    • Prepares and maintains records related to work performed and projects in progress. Originates and maintains inventory records related to marketing projects.
    • Demonstrates reliable and consistent attendance.
    • Performs related work as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Graphics Design, Marketing, or a related field
    • Two (2) years of experience in graphics design, advertising, web design, and/or creative design.
    • Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Public sector experience desired.

    LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Individuals must pass a background check.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • The position involves light physical demands, such as exerting up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. May occasionally need to move boxes from 5 to 40 pounds.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • This position works in an office environment relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
