Our client is leading shipping MNC with an international client base and offices around the globe. To support their growth strategy our client is hiring Marine Superintendent in India.


Marine Superintendent Tankers

(Based in Mumbai India)


ORGANIZATION:


Reporting to the Fleet Manager you will be a key member in the ashore team incharge of managing the operational performance vessels assigned. Your key role is to ensure safe and efficient operations of the company s tankers vessels quality management HSEQ compliance and that all international marine requirements are adhered.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing support to the vessel to ensure safety of the cargo navigation and other marine operational matters.
  • Planning and allocation of resources setting processes implementing improvement plans in a rigorous and structured way for planned and routine maintenance of the ships under your charge.
  • Timely visit of vessels for audits and drydocking purpose.
  • Reviewing and improving factors involved in the vessels operational processes such as competency management organizational culture and structure and operating procedures.
  • Measuring benchmarking monitoring processes and providing feedback to prevent errors in the operation of its vessels.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment as per procedure and work towards quality and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively drive implementation of continuous improvement projects in collaboration with Quality team.


Requirements

  • You must be a qualified Marine Engineer or equivalent diploma holder in marine/navigation.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Marine Superintendent managing Tanker Vessels.
  • Minimum six months of sailing experience as a Master on Tanker Vessels is a must.
  • Possess Shipboard ISM / ISPS code Marine insurance and Seamanship knowledge.
  • People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.
  • Business acumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with any stakeholder.
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.
