Manufacturing Wiring Assembly Technician

Pay Rate: $ 20.00 / hour

We have partnered with a manufacturer of controls systems company in the Carrollton, TX area to provide them with a Manufacturing Assembly / Wire Technician.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Assembly / Wire Technician:

• Fabricates and installs mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical subassemblies per engineering diagrams, bills of material (BOM) and production control documents (traveler).
• Utilizes engineering schematics and address tables to terminate point-to-point wiring and assemble various cable and harness assemblies.
• Performs continuity, environmental, and dielectric (Hipot) tests as required in support of System Test activities.
• Assists System Test Technician and Test Engineers with fabrication of test fixtures as assigned by Integration Manager.
• Utilizes downtime to complete various projects including but not limited to construction, logistics, and material handling as assigned by Operations Management.
• Adheres to companywide safety and quality procedures. Engages in other activities as assigned by Operations Management.

Requirements of the Manufacturing Assembly / Wire Technician:

• High school graduate or equivalent; two to five years related experience.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Effectively communicates in both written and spoken English.
• Possess an understanding of mathematics up to and including technical mathematics (pre-algebra).
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess beginning to intermediate knowledge of productivity applications such as MS Excel 2000 and MS Word 2000.
• Ability to lift 35 or more pounds occasionally. Must be able to arrange and locate system components and raw materials as necessary to complete job.
